Our Approach
Food as Medicine for the Fourth Trimester
The postpartum period has been honored with specific foods across traditional cultures worldwide. Traditional emphasis is often on warming soups, slow-cooked broths, mineral-rich meats, and nourishing fats.
At Golden Hour Provisions, every menu is built around what a postpartum body needs the most:
Iron + Minerals to replenish what is depleted from pregnancy and birth
Warming foods to support digestion and circulation
Galactagogues ingredients that have been studied to encourage milk supply
Protein to rebuild tissue and sustain energy
Healthy fats to support mood, hormones, and brain function
Our menu rotates often, so what we cook reflects what's fresh, local, and most nourishing for the time of year.

FAQs
Are the meals fresh or frozen?
1
All meals are prepared fresh each week the day before delivery. That’s why we keep the menu as seasonal and new as possible.
How are meals packaged, and how do I reheat them?
2
Each day’s meals are portioned individually in eco-friendly, leak proof, and microwave safe containers. On delivery day, they are packed in an insulated bag with ice packs.
Instructions for reheating hot foods will be clearly labeled. For drinks intended to be consumed warm, we recommend whisking in a pot over low heat until warmed to your preference.
What if I have dietary restrictions or a food allergy?
3
Our meals are prepared in a kitchen that also processes common allergens, so we cannot 100% guarantee meals will be free from traces of allergens such as gluten, nuts, or dairy.
However, we will be happy to speak with you and go over available options if you do have an allergy or restriction.
Do you accommodate vegans and vegetarians?
4
We are happy to provide vegan or vegetarian menus, as many of our meals are already suitable or easily changed. Just let us know at checkout!
